The doctoral class in College of Electrical and Computer Engineering was established according to "Project Of Supporting Universities To Cultivate Ph.D. Level Research And Development Talents Through Industry-Academic Cooperation" and "Pilot Project Based On Collages Serving As Core Teaching Units" of Ministry of Education. Students can have admissions into the doctoral class through three channels including "Entrance Examination," "Direct Pursuit of Ph.D. Degree in This University" and "Doctoral Student Transfer." The first channel is to take the Ph.D. student entrance exam and apply for the joint admission channel for College of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the affiliated existing doctoral class. The second channel is to apply for the direct admission to the doctoral class from the master's class while becoming the first grade freshmen in the master's class. The third channel can be reached by the transferred doctoral student, from another affiliated doctoral class of this college, who needs to pass the qualification test of the original doctoral class or this doctoral class within two years from enrollment at the original institute with the consents of the advisor and the director of the original institute.
